Stretch Marks: Toyota Unveils 'Tundrasine' Concept at SEMA
The Tundra has a reputation for withstanding extreme jobs and conditions, but at the 2015 Specialty Equipment Marker Association (SEMA) Show, Toyota may have stretched the Tundra to its limits (literally).
The Tundrasine concept is a limousine version of the Toyota Tundra. The Tundrasine started life as a Toyota Tundra 1794 Edition 4x4 CrewMax 5.7L V8 pickup. Toyota then transformed the already full-size Tundra into a larger and longer limousine.
“SEMA members take their vehicles to extremes, and Toyota definitely goes to a new extreme with the Tundrasine. It stretches beyond what is normally expected of a stock Tundra,” said Steve Appelbaum, National Engagement Marketing Manager, Toyota Motor Sales, U.S.A., in a press release. “SEMA is the perfect event to debut this concept vehicle that takes the best of Tundra and turns it into the pinnacle in executive transport . . . limo style.”
Measuring in at over 26 feet in length, and with a wheelbase of 235.9 inches, the Tundrasine is anything but your run-of-the-mill pickup. It sports a Midnight Black Metallic exterior (classic limo color) with eight doors that open to reveal custom and functional brown leather interior, which Toyota says was inspired by the cockpits and passenger compartments of luxury private jets.
As with all Tundra models, the Tundra that served as the basis for the Tundrasine was assembled in San Antonio, proving once and for all that yes, everything is indeed bigger in Texas (well played, Texas).
Of course, if you desire a reliable, heavy-duty full-size pickup, but don’t necessarily need the space the Tundrasine affords, we recommend contacting or visiting us at Seeger Toyota today.
